Online data workshop for accommodators Nov. 26

The Columbia Valley Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Radium, CV Economic Development, Fairmont Hot Springs Resort and the British Columbia Hotel Association are inviting accommodators to a locally hosted STR (Smith Travel Research) Online Data Workshop.

The workshop is Thursday November 26, from 12-1 p.m.

STR is a data collection system that can help accommodators collect and interpret their nightly stays. This program can help assess the effectiveness of marketing activities and packages by comparing occupancy to other accommodators in the area.

This data can then be looked at year over year to influence budget, rate management and marketing strategies.

This system works by collecting the Average Daily Rate (ADR), RevPAR (revenue per available room) against the competitors within the local market.

All data is submitted directly and confidentially to Smith Travel Research (STR) and never released in individual components publicly. The consolidated destination wide data is available for everyone who has submitted to use, analyze and further the long and short term strategies of their respective businesses.

Join our workshop on November 26, to learn more about how to get started with STR.
