PGA of BC event coming to valley

The PGA of BC will conduct eight championship events across four of the association’s geographic regions in 2019, once again providing a variety of avenues for its member Golf Professionals to compete amongst each other and alongside amateurs from their respective facilities.

This year’s schedule includes an event taking place in the Kootenays region, which will mark the first time one of the PGA of BC’s active championships has been held in the eastern portion of the province since 2000.

On July 8 and 9, Copper Point Golf Club near Invermere will host the G&G Golf Company & Callaway Golf Pro-Assistant Championship.

The format will feature two-person teams; 18 holes best-ball, 18 holes scramble.

Altogether, seven different British Columbia communities will host zone-wide competitions conducted by the Association in 2019.

Registration for all events is now open to eligible PGA of BC Professionals. Space is limited for all tournaments and popular events often fill up quickly, so early registration is encouraged to ensure your place in the field. Reduced registration fees are also available to those signing up at least three weeks prior to a tournament’s start date.
