Expect traffic delays in Sinclair Canyon
Parks Canada reports there will be traffic delays on Highway 93 in Sinclair Canyon at Radium Hot Springs from April 6 to 9.
Beginning today and running until Friday, April 9 there will be periods of single lane alternating traffic on Highway 93 at the Radium Hot Springs pool facility. Work is expected to take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
This work is required to connect water and electrical services to the new Kootenay National Park West Gate located north of the Radium Hot Springs pool facility.
Motorists can expect up to 20-minute delays during peak periods. Please obey all speed reductions and signage to ensure the safety of motorists and workers.
The new Kootenay West Gate is expected to be operational in summer 2021.
The existing gate will remain operational until that time.
