Radium Hot Springs is hosting a weekend full of fun and education around its head bangers Nov. 3 to 5!
This is not a heavy metal music weekend, it’s a weekend dedicated to the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep that call the Village of Radium Hot Springs home.
Just for fun we have thrown in a photography workshop hosted by Dax Justin, keynote dinner with Kevin Van Tighem, Legends of the Forest with Darcee O’Hearn and many other interactive educational workshops!
Today we would like to introduce you to Thea Rodgers, our host for ‘Resolving Conflicts with Urban Wildlife Workshop’ our guide for the Wildlife Corridor Walk through the Sinclair Creek Trail and Wildlife Craft Extraordinaire.
Thea Rodgers is the WildSafe BC Community Coordinator for Radium Hot Springs and Regional District of East Kootenay Electoral Areas F and G. She has a background in environmental research, education, and community work. Her love of mountains and the small-town lifestyle is what brought her back to the Kootenays after completing her BSc at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
Passionate about reducing human-wildlife conflict, Thea will share her insights about urban wildlife biology and address issues associated with living in a major wildlife corridor.
Head to Radium to take in Thea’s urban wildlife workshop on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 1:15 to 2:30 p.m. at the Prestige Radium.
Interpretive hikes are on Sunday, Nov. 5 from 12:30 to 2 p.m.
