Snowfall warning for Kootenay National Park area
Environment Canada has this morning issued a snowfall warning for the Kootenay National Park and Yoho National Park areas.
“A Pacific low pressure system is forecast to bring a total of 15 to 20 cm of snow to the regions along the Rockies into this afternoon. Snow will become mixed with rain this afternoon before tapering off to flurries this evening,” Environment Canada stated.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
