Valley residents heading to PyeongChang
Invermere’s Benjamin Thomsen and Manuel Osborne-Paradis (pictured right above) will be competing together at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympic Games, starting Feb. 9 and running until Feb. 25 in the Republic of Korea.
This is the 33-year-old Osborne-Paradis’ fourth and 30-year-old Thomsen’s second Olympic Games appearances.
The duo join Cranbrook’s India Sherret (freestyle skiing) on the Canadian Winter Olympic team, along with coach Stanley Hayer of Kimberley, as the East Kootenay’s representatives at the Games.
