Bridge Interiors’ Cranbrook-Kimberley Winter Awareness Initiative, held Feb. 11, raised $2,045 in cash and gift cards for the Cranbrook Food Bank. Additionally, 520 pounds of food was also gathered.

“I was pleased with the turnout,” said Bridge Interiors owner and event organizer Ken Bridge, adding city media support “made a big difference. It was pretty good for the first kick at the cat.”

Event sponsors included: Bridge Interiors, Genex Marketing, Fiorentino Bros. Construction, Rick’s Fine Meats, Duthie’s Auto Propane, A&W, Sandor Rentals, BWC Construction, City of Cranbrook and media supporters e-KNOW, B104 / The Drive, Summit 107 (provided tunes for the event), Cranbrook Townsman and Kootenay Advertiser.
