A recent update from the Province of British Columbia clarifying guidelines around the operation of group fitness classes in B.C. is impacting some offerings in the Aquatic Centre at Western Financial Place.

Effective immediately, the City of Cranbrook has temporarily suspended all aquafit classes, including Joint Mobility classes, until the province issues new guidelines and we have our updated safety plan approved.

The Aquatic Centre will remain open, with health and safety guidelines in place, and will continue offering private swim lessons, lane swimming, therapy swimming and individual exercise time in place of aquafit classes.

Swim club and Special Olympics will also continue with guidelines in place.

Thank you all for your continued support and flexibility as we shift to minimizing the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Rest assured that we are regularly checking with the Provincial Health Office to make sure our guidelines are aligned with their most recent recommendations and mandates.
