Because Cranbrook Youth Matter…
On the corner of 14th Avenue and 2nd Street N sits Cranbrook’s Youth Drop in Centre.
Youth Impact and Gravity are safe and fun places where teens can head at lunch and afterschool. Pool, Ping Pong, video games and a friendly mentor to connect with are just some of the things teens head there for.
Three years ago Cranbrook teens had few options where kids could hang out and have fun. But now they have great spaces just across the street from the high school and they want to see it stay that way. The Boys and Girls Club and Connect Church are partnering up to raise funds to keep these spaces thriving.
“We have a great night planned!” said Sheldon Richardson of Gravity. “The community has been very generous with the items we are putting up for auction.”
Return air travel from Pacific Coastal Airlines, a $500 dollar Sunshine Houseboats certificate, and a 8’x10’ shed package from TimberLab are just some of the amazing offers.
Key City Theatre doors open this Sunday, April 30 at 6 p.m. (for early bidding, baked goods and drinks) with the live entertainment starting at 6:30 p.m.
“This is a great way to show the youth of Cranbrook that they matter,” exclaimed Tim Matwey of Youth Impact. “We just hope the community will come out and support us!”
Advance tickets are available at the Key City Theatre box office and at the door Sunday night for $15.
