Business Walk returns for fourth year

The fourth annual Business Walk is returning to the streets of Cranbrook on June 25.

This one-day event is a fantastic opportunity for the business community to engage with civic leaders, the Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce, Community Futures East Kootenay and other business support organizations.

The object of the walk is to take the pulse of the business community and provide an opportunity for business leaders to bring their concerns, ideas or comments forward to key decision makers in the community. Volunteers will be armed with a quick survey to ask businesses some directed questions about their current business environment.

The survey will help in tracking any changes to the business environment year over year, which can be used in the planning and development of programs and services through the city, the chamber and Community Futures.

“What better way to understand the needs of our members than to be on their doorsteps asking the questions and reaching out for feedback,” said Cranbrook chamber president Jason Fast.

The Business Walk is only possible with the help of volunteers from the business community and businesses willing to open their doors and share their thoughts and experiences. If you are interested in being a “walker” or would like the Business Walk to stop in at your business please contact the chamber to be added to the list at [email protected].

All volunteer walkers will be treated to lunch prior to the walk and asked to donate three hours of time on the day of the walk.

To volunteer please contact the chamber before June 20.
