Cranbrook Boys and Girls Club Presents Awards to Signal Collision and Minute Muffler

The Cranbrook Boys and Girls Club is thrilled to present the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada Medal of Appreciation Award to Clint Habart, owner of Minute Muffler, and D’arcy Giberson, owner of Signal Collision.

This award recognizes D’arcy and Clint’s amazing generosity to jointly purchase, refurbish and donate four used 15-passenger vans to the Cranbrook Boys and Girls Club.

According to Debbie Morris, Cranbrook Boys and Girls Club Program Director, “D’arcy and Clint were aware of the club’s work to support children and youth in the community. They knew that our vans were aging and that it can be quite difficult to locate quality used 15-passenger vans. They took the initiative, stepped forward, and approached the club with this generous offer to update our van fleet. Our vans play a key role in our programming, allowing us to pick up children at school for our after-school programs and to expose children and youth to a wide variety of experiences, including lots of outdoor adventures in the community. We are very pleased to be able to present Clint and D’arcy with this Medal of Appreciation Award, in recognition of their generous contributions to the Club.”

D’arcy Giberson, owner of Signal Collision added: “Clint and I know that by supporting children and youth at the Cranbrook Boys and Girls Club, we’re investing in the future leaders of our community. That’s really important to us, and we’re glad that we’ve been able to support the club and the community in this way.”

“The Cranbrook Boys and Girls Club is one of our long-time customers, so we knew that their vans were getting older and needing more work,” said Clint Habart, owner of Minute Muffler. “With these newly donated vans, we now have more consistency in these vehicles, which is very helpful in the on-going maintenance that Minute Muffler provides to the club. D’arcy and I would like to thank the community for all their support over the years, which allows us to give back in this way.”

The Cranbrook Boys and Girls Club has a 46-year history of offering successful programs for children and youth in Cranbrook. As a member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada, the mission of the Cranbrook Boys and Girls Club is to provide a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life. The Cranbrook Boys and Girls Club is the largest provider of licensed childcare in Cranbrook and currently operates two daycares, two after-school programs and one youth centre.
