Clothing Drive Night Dec. 29 at Western Financial Place

The Kootenay ICE announced yesterday the details for its upcoming Clothing Drive Night and its New Year’s Eve Celebration Game.

The ICE Clothing Drive Night is taking place on Saturday, December 29 when the ICE host the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used clothing items to the game, with all donations going towards organizations in the Cranbrook area.

The Salvation Army will be on-site to collect the clothing and cash donations. Their truck will be parked outside the entrance of Western Financial Place (WFP) to accept donations upon entry. The Salvation Army will also have a table set up inside WFP for monetary donations.

In addition, the ICE Clothing Drive Pick-up Event will be held on January 24 from 6-8 p.m. Employees from Northstar GM along with Kootenay ICE players will be going door-to-door in Cranbrook collecting donations for the Salvation Army.

All donated items will stay in the Cranbrook area.

The New Year’s Eve Celebration Game is taking place on Monday, December 31 when the ICE host the Victoria Royals. Puck drop is scheduled for 4 p.m.

Pacific Coastal Airlines will be giving away a round-trip airfare for two to Vancouver, as well as one night’s stay at the Pacific Gateway Hotel.

ICE fans can enter to win by filling out a ballot at the ICE tent during the game. The winner will be announced during the game.

In addition, this game marks the return of the ICE House Band, the Mile High Club. The band will be playing music prior to the game, as well as during the first and second intermission.

The next home game for the ICE is against the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Saturday, December 29. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
