Cranbrook RCMP Report

The following is a synopsis of calls reported to Cranbrook RCMP for the period between 6 a.m. Oct. 8 to Oct. 15, at 6 a.m.
Calls for Service: 113
One impaired driving: alcohol.
One collision in the city: A single vehicle accident that resulted in an impaired driving investigation and driver issued an immediate roadside prohibition.
Eight collisions outside the city: There were six collisions with wildlife; a two-vehicle accident in Jaffray with minor injuries; and one single vehicle rollover resulting in life threatening injuries that occurred October 10, at approximately 11:45 p.m. The 48-year-old female driver from Creston was airlifted to Kelowna. Alcohol is not suspected and matter is still under investigation.
Nine driving complaints: Two in the city and seven outside the city.
One hit and run: A semi drove over a curb damaging a flowerbed, hitting a company sign and dragging a large rock about 30 feet.
Three assaults: One was a familial assault. One assault involved a suspect pulling out a knife and threatening others near Tamarack Mall. A suspect was arrested and no one was injured. And another involved a male who was knocked unconscious trying to break up a fight.
Five Mental Health Act related calls.
10 thefts.
Four shoplifting.
One theft of Auto: A 2003 red Ford F350 was stolen from the area of 700 Cranbrook St North. It has not been recovered. BC License Plate is EL5 286.
Three thefts from autos: Including a theft of a wallet while parked in the Moyie area; change stolen from an unlocked motor vehicle; and two wallets taken from an unlocked vehicle.
Two theft other: Including theft of construction material; theft of a trailer that turned out to be unfounded.
Three damage to property: A vehicle hood was dented; a fence damaged, suspect identified; and a vehicle keyed while parked at the airport.
One drug seizure: marijuana.
