Dryden Hunt named to Arizona’s taxi squad

Cranbrook’s Dryden Hunt has today been added to the National Hockey League Arizona Coyotes taxi squad for the upcoming season, which begins today.

Hunt will join forwards Hudson Fasching, Michael Chaput, Frederik Gauthier and defencemen Victor Soderstrom and Jordan Gross on the club’s taxi squad, established to allow for more ready/able players within the bubble in case of injury.

Hunt, 25, spent the last three seasons with the Florida Panthers, compiling three goals, 15 assists and 34 penalty minutes in 63 games, after signing as a free agent in 2016.

The left winger had to clear waivers first before being assigned to the taxi squad.

The Coyotes open their regular season on Thursday, January 14 against the San Jose Sharks at Gila River Arena.
