Elk calf rescued near Cranbrook

The BC Conservation Officer Service (COs) this morning reported on social media that COs rescued this elk calf, which was found dehydrated and emaciated near Cranbrook.

“The female elk is believed to have been hit and killed on the road. Please drive with care in wildlife zones. The calf has been taken to a wildlife rehab centre in Golden,” COs related.
