Fire Chiefs for the Day treated

Every year, Cranbrook McDonald’s Restaurant and the Cranbrook Fire & Emergency Services team up and choose some lucky kids from the community to be honorary Fire Chiefs for the Day in an effort to promote fire awareness and safety in a fun way.

On November 8 we celebrated this year’s Fire Chief for the Day winners Clayton Weed and Kole Paulsen. These enthusiastic boys attend Ms. Peters’ Grade 3/4 class at Kootenay Orchards Elementary School.

Cranbrook firefighters spent time in their classroom, answering questions and promoting fire safety. Clayton and Kole also got to travel to McDonald’s for lunch in the fire truck and take a tour of the Fire Hall!
