Food bank reopening Monday

The Cranbrook Food Bank Society announced yesterday (March 26) that it will be reopening on Monday, March 30.

“Just a few days off for some heavy cleaning, resting and regrouping volunteers, food and workflows to help ensure we keep everyone safe,” the society stated on Facebook.

“Thank you Cranbrook for stepping up the donations and volunteering, to support our remaining crew!”

Volunteers are doing their best at social distancing.

If you would like to donate online, you can (on this page, the food bank website or through  CanadaHelps.org directly (then choose Cranbrook Food Bank).

“We will also have a bin outside for food.”

The food bank is also looking for volunteers; people who are healthy and low risk and able to donate a few hours once a week. Leave a private message on the food bank Facebook page (link above), or email cranbrookfoodbank44@gmail.com: Leave your name, text number and email and they will call you with options for serving, when needed.
