Heart-shaped support for BC firefighter’s burn fund

Boston Pizza Cranbrook’s annual heart-shaped pizza day is tomorrow and it is focusing fundraising efforts on the BC Professional Firefighter’s Association Burn Fund in honour of Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services Captain Clayton Murrell and Joan MacKinnon.

“Every year, our Cranbrook store donates $1 from each heart-shaped pizza and Valentine’s dessert sold to support the Boston Pizza Foundation so that kids can find role models in their communities. This year, this means something extra special to Trevor, Angela, the management team and their staff because of the impact to our community in losing two wonderful people recently – Clayton Murrell and Joan MacKinnon – both role models,” a restaurant Facebook post explains.

“Their legacy will live on in our community. In their honour, we will match every dollar raised through the sale of our heart-shaped pizzas and desserts tomorrow to also support the BC Professional Firefighter’s Association Burn Fund,” Boston Pizza said.
