Senior Boys Basketball (Cardston) (written by Marg Atwood)

The WILD Senior Boys enjoyed their first tournament of the season in Cardston and were well taken care of by the tournament director, which included a complimentary breakfast at the school cafeteria.

They were unable to pull off a win in the three games played but progressively got better each game, learning team and individual responsibilities on the floor and on the bench.  The tournament was challenging and it was nice to see the boys come together throughout the weekend. Reese Johnston was recognized for his hard work and hustle.

Sebastian Butler went down in the last game with an ankle injury but should be good to go by next weekend. Dawson Atwood controlled the boards with rebounds and blocked shots.
Point totals was a well-rounded team effort. The boys remained positive and excited in all three games and they look forward to travelling to Castlegar this weekend.

The Senior Girls Basketball team came second in Red Deer tournament

(L to R): Makenzie Nelson, Jessica Armstrong, Sharlene Parsons, Victoria Hall, Jacynda Conroy, Natalie Armstrong, Sydney Marlow, Camryn Spring, Gabby Baker, Kiera Whitaker

Also this weekend: Junior girls and Senior girls travel to Calgary and Senior boys head to Castlegar.
