ICE Drive to 25 BBQ tomorrow
The Kootenay ICE’s Drive to 25 Family BBQ presented by Bridge Interiors is taking place on Saturday, May 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parking lot at Bridge Interiors.
And special silent auction items have been added to the event.
The three silent auction items are as follows (pictured above):
- A 2017-18 Winnipeg Jets team signed jersey. The Jets are one of the most explosive teams in the NHL and are currently about to begin taking on the Vegas Golden Knights in the Western Conference Final.
- A 2017-18 Kootenay ICE team signed jersey. This will be the last chance to get your hands on a ‘17-18 team signed ICE jersey.
- A Peyton Krebs signed Pink the Rink jersey. This is the last available Pink the Rink jersey.
ICE forward Sebastian Streu will be in attendance along with ICE staff members such as Jon Klemm (Associate Coach), Roman Vopat (Assistant Coach), Nathan Lieuwen (Video Coach and Goaltending Consultant), Laurie Dickson (Health and Wellness Coach), Jake Heisinger (Director, Scouting and Hockey Operations) and Matt Cockell (President and General Manager).
“Last year’s event was well-attended and we are hoping for an even larger event in 2018. We hope to see you there,” Cockell said.
The silent auction begins at the Drive to 25 Family BBQ and concludes on Wednesday, May 16 at 5 p.m.
Bids can be placed at the Family BBQ on May 12. In addition, individuals can place a bid at the ICE Gear Store at Western Financial Place during regular business hours or by calling 250-417-0322.
Each successful bidder will have until Wednesday, May 23 at 5 p.m. to pay for the item. If they fail to do so, the item will be awarded to the next highest bidder.
All of the net proceeds from the silent auction will go towards the ICE Education Fund, which helps support ICE player’s post-secondary education.
