Info sought on OCP amendment for 20-unit apartment

The City of Cranbrook is currently accepting feedback and comments about an Official Community Plan (OCP) amendment application that could lead to the construction of a new 20-unit apartment building.

Monday night (March 25), city council gave first reading to City of Cranbrook Official Community Plan (OCP) Amendment Bylaw No. 3963, 2019. If adopted, the proposed OCP amendment will change the land use designation of the property from “Medium Density Residential” to “High Density Residential.”

Approval of the proposed OCP amendment will enable consideration of rezoning property at 126 – 21st Avenue South for a new multi-family residential apartment building consisting of 20 new dwelling units. The apartment would also be adjacent Victoria Avenue S.
