Interior Health CEO to address chamber Nov. 14

The Cranbrook Chamber of Commerce’s November Luncheon will feature an in-depth conversation with Interior Health CEO Susan Brown.

Brown’s career in health spans over 30 years and reflects her deep commitment to improving the care experience for patients, families and communities. She became Interior Health’s President and CEO in October of 2018, following seven years of service on the Senior Executive Team, most recently as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Hospitals and Communities.

Working with teams across Interior Health, Brown engages staff, volunteers, and local partners in the delivery of service that best addresses the needs of our communities. She has led transformation efforts across hospital, home and community sectors, championing innovation and practices that make it easier for the people we serve to receive care close to home.

Additionally, her responsibilities have included allied health and patient transport programs, Assisted Living, Cardiac Program, Surgical Network, and the Ethics Council. She has also been Interior Health’s operations liaison for the University of British Columbia’s Southern Medical Program and is recognized as a health system leader at several provincial tables.

Prior to joining IH, Susan worked with Fraser Health Authority as the Executive Director, Medicine Program for Fraser Health’s 12 hospitals. Susan is a Certified Health Executive and holds a Master of Health Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Please note the November Chamber Luncheon is on Thursday, November 14.

This event will run from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Heritage Inn Hotel & Convention Centre.
