Junior Fire Chiefs for the Day

Every year, Cranbrook McDonald’s Restaurant and the Cranbrook Fire & Emergency Services team up and choose some lucky kids from the community to be honorary Fire Chiefs for the Day in an effort to promote fire awareness and safety in a fun way.

Throughout October, Cranbrook Fire & Emergency Services hosted over 400 Grade 3 children at the Fire Hall for Fire Prevention Week.

Two lucky children were chosen from all those who visited and on November 12, Zane and Caitlyn from Steeples Elementary School became the 2019 Fire Chiefs for the Day. They were picked up in the fire truck at their school, and then taken to McDonalds and treated to lunch!
