Kings rule Kimberley; Nitros silver

The Cranbrook H&R Block Kings won five straight games on their way to a gold medal win over the weekend in the Kimberley Nitros PeeWeeB Tournament.

The Kings defeated teams from Okotoks, Canmore and Airdrie, Alberta to advance to the semifinals, where they stormed past the Midnapore Mavericks of Calgary to advance to the gold medal game to face off against the host Kimberley Nitros.

In the end, the Cranbrook Kings took gold, Kimberley Nitros silver and Canmore Eagles bronze.

Next action for both the Cranbrook Kings and Kimberley Nitros is this weekend in Kalispell at the Kalispell Winter Classic, where all games are played on an outside rink.
