The Cranbrook Lions Club is hosting a fundraising Walk for Guide Dogs on June 9 at Idlewild Park.

The walk is being held in conjunction with Cranbrook branch of Therapeutic Paws of Canada.

“All the animals are free of charge (to enter the walk) to the participants. What we are trying to do is raise money for the dog guides but also promote the program to locals who may not be aware of the types of support dogs that are available,” explained Cranbrook Lions Club member and walk co-organizer Bob Baird.
