Local business backs ICE Education Fund

The Kootenay ICE, in partnership with Spring Honda, is excited to launch limited edition Kootenay ICE licence plate frames.

One thousand Kootenay ICE license plate frames have been graciously donated to the Kootenay ICE by Spring Honda.

The plate frames are available for a minimum $10 donation to the ICE Education Fund, which supports the post-secondary education of all Kootenay ICE players. This year there are a total of 18 players benefiting from full scholarships via the ICE Education Fund.

The Education Fund is solely funded by the Kootenay ICE Hockey Club for the benefit of ICE players and 100% of all the proceeds go directly to the players post-secondary education.

“We are very thankful to Spring Honda for their continued support of the ICE, the community and our players,” said Matt Cockell, President and General Manager. “The ICE Education Fund requires some significant support immediately; we are confident that the community will get behind this initiative and that it will encourage other initiatives in support of our players education.”

The limited edition plate frames will be available November 17, from 6-9 p.m. at the ICE game against the Red Deer Rebels. They will be located on the concourse at Western Financial Place.

After November 17, the remaining ICE licence plate frames will be available at the ICE Gear Store during regular office hours.

Contributions can be made at all home games in the ICE Education Fund donation box or by contacting the ICE office at [email protected].
