Local hired as Bucks’ equipment manager and trainer

The Cranbrook Bucks (BC Hockey League) are excited to announce the hiring of Cranbrook resident Mike Nelson as equipment manager and trainer.

Mike studied Kinesiology at College of the Rockies and the University of Lethbridge and has five year’s experience as an assistant equipment manager in the Western Hockey League.

“I’m excited to be part of a great organization in the BCHL,” said Nelson. “I’m looking forward to making a contribution to the success of the Bucks and use my knowledge and experience to bring a professional atmosphere for each player every day.”

Nelson is from Cranbrook, where he currently resides with his two children, Blake (four) and Christopher (two).

“Mike will be a welcome addition to our staff,” said Head Coach and General Manager Ryan Donald. “He will be great fit for our organizational culture and his background will provide our players with a first- class experience.”
