City of Cranbrook Councillor Mike Peabody announced July 30 that he intends to seek re-election in the Oct. 20 municipal election.

Peabody won an Oct. 21, 2017 by-election for the seat after it was vacated by Kootenay East MLA Tom Shypitka following his May 2017 provincial government election victory.

“One hundred per cent, I’m in!” Peabody stated at the conclusion of a city council special meeting Monday night.

Peabody joins fellow councillors Danielle Eaton, Wesly Graham and Norma Blissett who have all announced intentions to run again, as has Mayor Lee Pratt.
