Rockies Film Festival turning 20

The Rockies Film Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

Landfill Harmonic

In honour of the 20th anniversary Rockies Film Festival celebration, the Sunrise Rotary Club of Cranbrook has planned an extra special night for the festival, which runs March 1 to 4

On March 1, join them for a Wine & Cheese gathering before the show, find a great seat and then enjoy a presentation by the Cranbrook Violin Club followed by a screening of Landfill Harmonic.

All proceeds from this night will be returned to the Violin Club to support their Music in the Park initiative.  This is a great opportunity to continue to support the youth in our community through this combined event.

The Rotary Club thanks festival sponsors The Bedroom Furniture Galleries, A.C. Dyck Financial Services Inc., East Kootenay Community Credit Union (EKC), Lotic Environmental and BDO for continuing to support our youth community in such a big way.

Here is the line-up for the festival:

March 1

7 p.m. Landfill Harmonic (following presentation by Violin club).

March 2

7 p.m. Things to Come

9 p.m. Denial

March 3

7 p.m.  Julieta

9 p.m. Paterson

March 4

1 p.m. Operation Avalanche

3 p.m.  Mean Dreams

The Sunrise Rotary Club is also working on getting La La Land brought to the Key City Theatre in early April, The Sweet Hereafter on April 19 (Free to everyone) and Mr. Gaga in early May.  Pretty exciting times around the theatre!

Don’t forget, Little Men is showing on Thursday, February 2, at the Key City Theatre.

Tickets for the shows are available at the Key City Theatre at www.keycitytheatre.com, by phone at 250-426-7006 or at the Box Office.
