Rockin’ in the Rockies support BC Wildfire Fund

During the Show and Shine Wednesday evenings in the month of August, the Rockin’ in the Rockies Car Club placed a donation jar out on the street, to collect funds from the community to support the BC Wildfire Fund.

The citizens and participants of the Show and Shine events did not disappoint. On behalf of the community of Cranbrook and the Rockin’ in the Rockies Car Club we were pleased to present a check in the amount of $1186.25 to the Canadian Red Cross Society for the BC Wildfire Fund.

The check presentation occurred on Wednesday, September 1 with a few car club members bringing their special rides down to mark the event.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank the community for their generous donations/support. The check was presented to Red Cross representative Mark Wagner by Rockin’ in the Rockies Club members Oreen Walker and Lawrence (Sam) Sammartino.

As a club we are happy to be a part of a very important cause that has affected so many within British Columbia. We wish all those individuals/community effected by the wildfires this year, all the best and hope that lives can return to a semblance of normal for them soon.
