Rotary partners with ICE for 50/50 for three years

The Kootenay ICE is pleased to announce its partnership with the Rotary Club of Cranbrook has been extended through to the 2020-2021 season.

The Rotary Club will be the exclusive sponsor of the 50/50 for all 34 ICE home games and playoffs, if applicable.

The same electronic 50/50 system will return for the upcoming season. That platform, which was introduced last season, includes more flexible payment options and two TVs installed on the concourse showing the running total during games. The Rotary Club will continue to provide volunteers at each home game supported by ICE game day staff.

“We feel fortunate to have been able to partner with such a first class organization as the ICE in assisting our club in helping so many different groups and projects in the community,” said Ed Murray, President of the Rotary Club of Cranbrook. “We are ‘service above self’, and are grateful not only to the ICE but to our members who step up to work on game nights, and more importantly, to the great fans of the ICE who support them and us (and thereby the community) through their ticket purchases.”

The Rotary Club is an organization focused on the community enabling a wide and diversified distribution of funds last year via the proceeds raised at ICE home games.

“The ICE are excited to continue the partnership with the Rotary Club,” said Matt Cockell, President and General Manager. “We share the same values of being community focused and look forward to growing our long term partnership with the Rotary Club of Cranbrook.”
