There are multiple social media reports about a possible head-on collision north of Fort Steele this morning (July 12).

STARS air ambulance confirmed these reports on Twitter, noting STAR 1 (Calgary) has been dispatched for a Scene Call Emergency in the Cranbrook area.

DriveBC has not yet reported anything about this incident. Volunteers are on scene halting traffic while emergency personnel head to it.
