Stellar lineup performing August 22

Bass guru Felix Pastorius, son of the legendary bassist Jaco Pastrious, has been added to the stellar lineup of world-class musicians who will soon be coming to Cranbrook.

Felix Pastorious, based in New York City, is also a member of Michael Occhipinti’s In Orbit who were the hit of the Kaslo Jazz Summer Music Festival in 2017.

They were asked to play another set on Sunday to fill in for a band that could not get across the border. Tony Ferraro sat in on drums for a few tunes; it was an amazing musical experience. I thank the Lord that I was there to see it.

The Lester McLean Band (pictured above) also features Lester McLean on sax, guitar, hand drum, vocals and jazz guitarist, vocalist, composer, educator, multi-Juno nominated Michael Occhipinti – both hailing from Toronto, Ontario.

Keeping the beat going is none other than “our very own” Tony Ferraro from Trail, Kootenay born and bred.

This is going to be one amazing night of music and dancing.

Doors open 6 p.m. and the show starts 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22 at Auntie Barb’s Bakery, located at 217 Cranbrook St N.

Tickets $15 single; $ 25 couple, available at Auntie Barb’s Bakery, also by contacting Randy Tapp or Louie Cupello on Facebook.
