Warm weather forces temporary closure of outdoor rinks

With the warm, wet weather the past several days, the City of Cranbrook is temporarily closing all its outdoor skating rinks due to deteriorating conditions.

Barricades and signage are in place now at Pop Price Park, Baker Park and Idlewild until further notice.

Crews with Public Works will monitor conditions and reopen the outdoor rinks once it is safe to do so.

Temperatures are forecast to return to a little more seasonal levels by the weekend.
