Kootenay East MLA Tom Shypitka took to Twitter earlier today to offer his support to the Muslim community in his riding in the wake of the terrible mass shooting in Christchurch, New Zealand.

“Offering support and heart felt condolences to some of our Muslim community in Cranbrook after the recent tragedy in New Zealand. All should feel welcomed and not threatened in our communities #ChristchurchMosqueShootings #kootenayeast,” MLA Shypitka tweeted, along with the photo above with Cranbrook RCMP officers.
