To celebrate our brand-new arrival on Instagram, BC Parks is looking for beautiful, adventure-inspiring and fun-filled photos from park visitors throughout the province.

Whether it’s camping at your favourite spot, hiking with your family or enjoying a magical sunset, BC Parks wants to see your favourite shots.

Every week, the province will share a ‘BC Parks Fan Photo’ on itsĀ Instagram account, @yourbcparks. For your shot to be considered, simply tag BC Parks and use the hashtag #BCParks.

“We know people are passionate about their parks, and love capturing special moments with family and friends. Whether it’s camping, hiking or enjoying a picnic, be sure to share your favourite photos for a chance to be featured on BC Parks Instagram.

“We hope this helps encourage people to get outside this summer and enjoy nature in one of B.C.’s many beautiful provincial parks,ā€ stated Mary Polak, Minister of Environment.

Be sure to follow along on Instagram, and the province’s other social media channels – Twitter, Facebook, Flickr and the BC Parks blog (handles/links below) – for regular updates, and to see some of the pictures along the way.

B.C.’s provincial parks receive over 21 million visits each year.

One of the largest park systems in the world, British Columbia has the highest percentage of its land base dedicated to protected areas of all provincial Canadian jurisdictions.
