EKISC’s Oct. 7 AGM virtual

This year’s East Kootenay Invasive Species Council (EKISC) annual general meeting will be held virtually on Oct. 7, starting at 1 p.m. (MST).

The AGM will include a brief overview of 2019 operational activities, an update on 2020 field and outreach programming, as well as an annual Business Meeting (including a financial update and Board of Directors Election).

The EKISC is pleased to announce ISCBC’s Dave Ralph will be delivering a presentation on ‘Considerations for Timing of Fall Herbicide Application for the Control of Invasive Plant Species.’

Dave has worked extensively with land managers and the agriculture industry in developing invasive plant management strategies and carrying out research for invasive plant control and management recommendations for pasture, range and intensive crop production.

EKISC says anyone can attend.

“We encourage all of our members, project partners, regional and provincial stakeholders and any members of the general public to attend and learn more about invasive species management in the RDEK.

EKISC is also recruiting new directors for its board! If you would like to learn more, please contact EKISC. New directors will be appointed during the October AGM.

Register for the AGM online.
