Fire extinguished near Tata Creek
UPDATE: The BC Wildfire Service has removed the fire near Tata Creek from its wildfire dashboard, indicating it is out.
Original story: The BC Wildfire Service is this morning reporting a wildfire in the northern end of Tata Creek, west of Highway 95A and the CPR Kootenay River Bridge.
The lightning caused fire, which started yesterday morning, is estimated at .3 hectares.
The fire is the only one on the record in the East Kootenay.
