Fort Steele prepping for annual Spooktacular

Fort Steele Heritage Town has announced the return of a favourite annual event – Spooktacular.

“New Interior Health regulations will allow us to host our annual Spooktacular event, which is incredibly exciting, as we missed last year,” Fort Steele stated on social media.

That said, there are things visitors should know that will be in place for Fort Steele to run this event as safely as possible for visitors, volunteers, and staff.

  1. Vaccination passports will be in place for all participants 13 and up.
  2. Masks will be required. This will be a great time to find an awesome costume with a mask!
  3. Pets are not welcome at this event, even though the fort is a pet friendly site, this is the one day that it asks pet owners to leave them at home.
  4. The event will be capped.

“There will be two passes, like previous years. There will be a trick or treat pass and a non-trick or treat pass, regardless of age,” Fort Steele noted.

“We will be looking for volunteers for the evening, so if you are interested in helping make this evening as fun as possible, please send an email to [email protected] .

“We are all dying for some kind of normal back in our lives, and this is our staff’s favourite event to put on for everyone. Please be kind and let’s make this a fun evening for everyone!”

Tickets will be available at Fort Steele only starting October 1. Please stay tuned for more details.
