Friday Highways Report for the East Kootenay

Friday Highways Report for the East Kootenay is a snapshot to give the travelling public a glimpse of what they may be heading into or out of this weekend.

The simple gist for Friday, Feb. 7 is ‘winter driving conditions,’ meaning be prepared for anything. A look through DriveBC cameras shows regional highways appearing dry and bare for the most part, as of time of publication of this report (1 p.m. Feb. 7).

Additionally, Mainroad East Kootenay Contracting Ltd. today issued a warning about incoming snowfall.

Highway 43

Sparwood to Elkford

Highway 93

Radium Hot Springs to Alberta Border

Watch for slippery sections.

Construction work at West Boundary of Kootenay National Park (one km north of Radium Hot Springs). Until March 31. Culvert liner installation near Radium Hot Pools; expect speed reductions to 50 km/h in work zone. No work on long weekends or statutory holidays.

Montana border to Highway 3
