Holiday Train arrives today and tonight in region

Canadian Pacific Railway’s Holiday Train is rolling into the East Kootenay this afternoon and this evening (Dec. 11) with Canadian country music stars Terri Clark and Dallas Smith performing.

The train will hit Sparwood first at 367 Pine Avenue behind the Leisure Centre at about 3:10 p.m., with music from about 3:15 to 3:45 p.m.

Fernie is next with the train arriving the city at about 4:45 p.m. with performances from 5 – 5:30 p.m. at 700 – 1st Avenue behind the old CP Station.

Jaffray residents should gather along the mainline across from the Community Hall at about 6:45 p.m. with performances running from 6:45 – 7:15 p.m.

And the last stop of the day for the coast-bound train is in Cranbrook at 25 Van Horne Street (CP station parking lot) with the train arriving at about 8:45 and musical performances between 9 – 9:30 p.m.

The train heads to Creston and the West Kootenay tomorrow before making its way back to the East Kootenay and the Columbia Valley on Friday, Dec. 13.

The train will arrive in Radium Hot Springs (at Foresters Road Railway Crossing) at 5:55 p.m. with performances by Terri Clark and Dallas Smith from 6 – 6:25 p.m.

The train hits Golden (across from 7-11 store) at 8:45 p.m., with musical performances from 9:30 – 10 p.m.
