Holiday Train spreads joy and support

The CP Holiday Train is rolling north to the Columbia Valley today, Friday, Dec. 13 after successful stops in Sparwood, Fernie, Jaffray and Cranbrook, as well in Creston and the Central Kootenay.

Thousands of giving folks turned out throughout the region, including all in one go in Cranbrook on Wednesday evening (Dec. 11).

The magnificently decorated train brought Canadian country music stars Terri Clark and Dallas Smith to town with a cheque for $10,000 given to the Cranbrook Food Bank, along with the food stuffs people donated.

The Holiday Train will arrive in Radium Hot Springs (at Foresters Road Railway Crossing) at 5:55 p.m. this evening, with performances by Terri Clark and Dallas Smith from 6 – 6:25 p.m.

The train hits Golden (across from 7-11 store) at 8:45 p.m., with musical performances from 9:30 – 10 p.m.
