New fire reported near Shadow Mountain
BC Wildfire Service today (August 12) reports a new small fire about 2.5 km southwest of Wycliffe Park Road and Shadow Mountain.
Noted as the Plateau Pit fire, the .01 hectare blaze is believed to be human-caused.
The fire is one of three burning in the area, all believed to be human-caused.
The Stirton Road fire near Marysville is now considered under control at 2.93 ha.
And the Kiakho Lake fire west of JimSmith Lake, discovered August 10, is also considered under control at about .6 ha in scale.
