Next Columbia River Treaty talks set for D.C.

The United States Department of State has advised that the next round of Columbia River Treaty negotiations will take place on March 11 and 12, in Washington, D.C.

This will be the ninth round of talks since Canada and the U.S. began negotiations on modernizing the treaty in May 2018, reported the B.C. Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources.

The last round of talks were held in ?aq’am in September 2019.
