Early this morning Kimberley RCMP members responded to a report of a single vehicle motor vehicle collision in the 5100 block of Highways 93/95 near Skookumchuck.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. Road conditions and visibility were very poor at the time.

Kimberley RCMP is working with the BC Coroner’s Service with respect to this investigation and no criminality is suspected at this time, reported Sgt. Steve Woodcox, detachment commander.

The identity of the deceased will not be released and the family has been notified.
