Pizza Farm event June 15 in Wardner

Come and enjoy an informative, educational, and interactive Pizza Farm Event regarding different sectors of agriculture that pertains to where our food comes from on June 15.

The morning will be comprised of a series of stations for each sector of agriculture. The educational portion of the event will be proceeded by a BBQ lunch provided by Cranbrook Community Connections. Each BBQ lunch is sold by donations and all proceeds will go to Cranbrook Community Connections. Hand made popsicles made with natural and local ingredients will also be for sale!

A Pizza Farm is an educational event hosted by professionals in agriculture to teach the community about the integral role that modern agriculture and technology play in food production.

The event is comprised of interactive stations that each represent a different sector of agriculture. For example, stations such as farm safety, beef, soil.

Did you know… To feed a population expected to grow to nine billion people by 2050, the world must double its current food production, all with less water and land!

The Food Farm is June 15 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at 6895 Ha Ha Creek Road, Wardner. Turn right before the Wardner Bridge onto Wardner Road from Highway 3 and follow the signs labelled “Pizza Farm.”
