Rescued screech owl makes full recovery
In late fall (2019), a B.C. Conservation Officer Service (BCCS) member on patrol came across this screech owl, lying injured on a highway near Fort Steele. The owl was sent to OWL Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation Society in the Lower Mainland and it has made a full recovery.
Happily, the owl was recently released back to its home range, the BCCS reported on social media this morning (April 29).
“Thank you to #OWL and all the volunteers who helped make this possible,” the BCCS stated.
