SD5 Board Notes

The following is a summary of motions carried November 13 during the School District No. 5 (SD5) Board of Trustees meeting held in Cranbrook.

Motions Carried

Advocacy:

That the board tentatively approves the Mount Baker Secondary School trip to Japan.

That the board writes a thank you letter to BC Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils for its letter of September 12.

General

That the board donates to the Salvation Army’s Christmas Hamper program in the amount of $1,000 in Cranbrook and $700 in Fernie. This represents a donation of $100 on behalf of each of the School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay) schools in lieu of a gift to the staff of each school.
