Wildfire reported south of Yahk
The BC Wildfire Service reports it is responding to a small wildfire about 10 km southwest of Yahk.
The roughly one-hectare fire near Elmer Creek, roughly 2.5 km from the US/Idaho border, is believed to be human caused.
It is the only reported fire in the East Kootenay and only the third fire in all of British Columbia at this time.
