Zoom townhall with Seniors’ Advocate and opposition leader

Shirley Bond, Interim Leader of British Columbia’s Official Opposition, MLA for Prince George-Valemount (BC Liberal Party) and Critic for Seniors Services and Long Term Care is leading and hosting a townhall series with The Office of The Seniors Advocate where Isobel Mackenzie will be presenting.

The Zoom townhall for Interior Health Authority area residents will be Tuesday, April 27 from 3-4 p.m.

“This is an opportunity for seniors to have a voice and for those who are connected with programs and services that provide resources and opportunities to our elders. It will ensure that the right people are hearing about what is happening in communities around British Columbia and what is needed for seniors,” said Kootenay East MLA Tom Shypitka.

Shirley Bond and Isobel Mackenzie are breaking them up by regional health authority as there is awareness that people have different needs depending on their region.

“Sessions have been developed based on what we’ve heard thus far from communities and where emerging needs indicate more focus is required,” Shypitka said.
